Raaj facilitates gender justice workshops for community organizers, development professionals, and students from across the country. Creative and dynamic, Raaj brings together her passion for both the social and the physical sciences. She has developed gender training manuals for adolescent girls, workers in the garment industry, staff of DV shelter homes, community organizations responding to disasters, etc. Raaj learnt community-based action research from her work in Pukar. A Zoologist by training, Raaj also served as an Assistant Professor in MD College, Mumbai. Raaj is one of the 20 global scholars selected by UN Women and KIT Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam for their intensive Professional Development Programme for Gender Trainers in 2022.
