About the Role
We are looking for an Eco Coordinator to anchor and grow our environmental sustainability initiatives. This role bridges practical, hands-on earth care with experiential learning. You will oversee our eco-education programs, manage our campus ecological farming, waste management and recycling systems.
We need a “practical idealist”—equally at home in the soil, managing educational schedules, and inspiring young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Eco-Education & Outreach: Design and lead creative, hands-on workshops for school children, youth, interns, and CSR Volunteers. You will use our Eco-Sanctuary campus ecosystem as a living classroom to teach climate resilience and regenerative living, using creative methods.
- Ecological Farming: Oversee our campus agroecology plots to showcase chemical-free food production. You will also support our women farmer’s collectives for food sovereignty.
- Waste Management: Manage our campus waste systems—including segregation, composting, and paper recycling. You will guide staff, residents, and visitors on zero-waste protocols and explore creative upcycling ideas.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in ecological farming, composting, and running experiential environmental education programs. A post-graduate degree in sustainability studies, agroecology, or a related field is helpful, but real-world practice matters most.
- Skills: A solid understanding of soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity. You should be an engaging facilitator who can translate complex ecological concepts into accessible, creative narratives. Fluency in English and Kannada is essential.
