Dr. Asim Siddiqui, brings a rich background in both academia and social action. An Assistant Professor in the School of Development at Azim Premji University, Asim has dedicated over 15 years to addressing developmental and social challenges. His work, which began with a B.Tech from IIT Delhi, evolved into a profound focus on transformative pedagogy. He holds an MA and PhD in Philosophy and Humanities, where his research explored the elements of a transformative education that leads to personal, organizational, and social change.
As a youth facilitator and mentor since 2009, Asim’s expertise lies in creating non-judgmental, transformative spaces for learning. He uses various art methodologies to engage people on topics like critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and social perspectives, including gender, class, and caste. Beyond his academic role, he advises several non-profit organizations and works as a consultant on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), aligning his professional skills with his deep-seated passion for social justice and human flourishing.
