Visthar’s Samvidhana Payana Fellowship invites applications from young people of all genders who are keen to promote the values of the Indian Constitution in Karnataka.
– A monthly stipend of Rs 15,000 – 25,000 for up to two years
– Structured training and skill building in Constitutional Values
– Mentoring and guidance to promote the values of the Indian Constitution
– A support network of committed activists, artists, journalists and community facilitators
– Opportunities for individual fellowships, and group fellowships (to work as a team)

– You are a community facilitator, activist, artist, film maker, educator, lawyer, or leader
– You are passionate about promoting justice, equality, fraternity, liberty, and pluralism
– You want to use your skills full time to strengthen these values in your community
– You come from a marginalized socio-economic background
– You are between the ages of 21 – 35 years
– You reside in Bagalkot, Bellary, Bengaluru, Chitradurga, or Koppal
Fellows can define how they will work to promote the values of the Indian Constitution in their communities and beyond. That could take a wide variety of forms, depending on your skills and interests. Here are some examples of the work the Fellows might chose to do:
– Organize the community to claims their rights and entitlements
– Form collectives in the community
– Facilitate consciousness raising sessions on social and environmental justice
– Write and perform plays to promote constitutional values
– Work to reduce stigma and exclusion faced by a group of people
– Write and popularize songs promoting justice, equality, fraternity, liberty, and pluralism
– Publish in mainstream media on issues affecting marginalized communities
– Create paintings/installations and facilitate discussions with youth on these themes
– Produce short films highlighting the practice of constitutional values
– Offer free legal aid to survivors of violence
These are just some examples of the work Constitutional Values Fellows do. You can propose more new ways to promote constitutional values full time.
