This year\, we focus on climate resilience and sustainable communities\, recognizing the urgent need to reimagine our relationship with the earth and environment.\nVisthar’s Bhoomi Habba has been a cherished annual tradition in Bangalore for nearly two decades. Celebrated around World Environment Day\, Bhoomi Habba transforms the Visthar campus into a vibrant hub of connection and learning\, reinforcing our shared responsibility toward building sustainable futures. Bhoomi Habba provides a platform to reflect on challenges facing the Earth and her people and to explore and learn from alternatives that foster just\, equitable\, and resilient communities. \nWhat to Expect at Bhoomi Habba 2026:\n● Inspiring Performances: Experience powerful performances by Indian folk bands\, theatre groups\, and Indigenous musicians\, highlighting stories of climate adaptation\, resilience\, and sustainable living.\n● Workshops and Demonstrations: Learn sustainable practices through hands-on workshops on seed ball making\, rainwater harvesting\, community gardens\, and traditional eco-crafts.\n● Thought-provoking Film Screenings: Delve into critical environmental issues and explore community-led resilience solutions through compelling films and expert-led discussions.\n● Vibrant Eco-enterprises/Stalls: Discover and support local artisans and rural crafts featuring eco-friendly products and sustainable food systems.\n● Conversations on Conservation: Engage with community leaders and climate activists\, exploring holistic strategies to address environmental concerns and build resilient communities. \n● Celebrating Traditional and Climate-Resilient Foods: Savour authentic traditional foods and explore the diverse world of millets. Participate in food demonstrations and workshops focused on traditional and millet-based cuisine. \nStall Booking Information:\nWe offer space for the exhibition and sale of books\, posters\, eco-friendly crafts\, and traditional foods. The stall charge is Rs.5000/- (inclusive of 18% GST). The stall size is 10×10 feet with two tables\, two chairs\, and tablecloths. We are expecting over 3000 visitors at the day-long festival.
